The previously unreleased field tape recording of Bob Wills recounting, in his own words, the experiences of his life and career! Bob Wills fan and former musician, Mr. Ray Riggs of Florida, made the recording on a reel-to-reel tape deck at a hotel in Fresno, California, circa 1949 during a Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys visit. Mr. Riggs has kept the recording for all these years with the hope of finding the right hands with which to entrust it for posterity. He was eventually put in touch with us here at bobwills.com by a friend, Mr. Gary Frietag, also of Florida. Now, this 36-minute recording of Bob Wills' own voice discussing his life and music is digitized and re-mastered to provide the earliest known conversational recording of this Swing music legend.
