You’re There
By Fred Rose
I get high, I get low, I move
fast, I move slow
But wherever I go you’re
there
I can smile, I can frown, I
give up, I give down
Because somewhere around you’re
there.
How did you get in this mem’ry
of mine
Oh why can’t I lose you somewhere
I can walk, I can run, I can
grieve or have fun
But when all’s said and done
You’re there.
When I feel like I should all
the while I knock wood
But it don’t do no good,
you’re there.
I can seek, I can hide, turn
aloes or be tied
But it’s all cut and dried,
you’re there.
Ev’ry one tell me that you’re
back in town
But I make believe I don’t
care
I get high, I get low, I move
fast , I move slow,
But wherever I go you’re
there.
